As we all know 5G is the next generation of wireless networks. It's not just faster-lower latency and more flexible mean it could start an era of augmented self-driving vehicles and other applications whose potential has not yet been fully realised. While today the pace of enterprise innovation is gradually and constantly moving upward, network providers are racing to deploy the next transformative technology: 5G.



China's Investment in 5G Network.

China intensified effort to build 5G network and DATA Centres will help stabilise investment and inject new vitality into Digital Economy.
  • Wang Zhiqin, deputy head of the China Academy of Information and Communication Technology, a government think tank also known as the CAICT said China's three major Telecom operators have built about 1,56,000 5G base Stations by early February.
  • China Mobile, China Unicorn and China Telecom are expected to have more than 5,50,000 new, operational 5G base stations across the Nation this year.
  • Wang from the CAICT said 5G network construction will drive investments in applications not only in the Upstream and Downstream of the Industrial Chain but in other Industries as well.
  • S&P Global (China) Rating said 5G investment is on the verge of peaking, with annual capital investment of China three major telecom operators expected to increase by 6% on an annual basis this year.
  • China will invest about 120 Billion yuan ($17.3 billion) in 5G infrastructure.
  • Solid Industrial foundation and maturing commercial products, the CAICT is expecting China to create over 3million jobs as of 2025, with aggregate information consumption brought by 5G commercialisation surpassing 8.3 Trillion yuan ($1.1 Trillion).


Countries Signal to Chinese 5G Network.

Many Countries like South Korea, China had already began trials of 5G network.

1.Europe

  • Despite Pressure from the United States, Germany has resisted a ban on 5G network.
  • France has not indicated it plans to follow a tough line against the Chinese Company.
  • Netherland, the largest telecom firm, KPN has already made clear that it would not allow Huawei to build its "core" 5G infrastructure, but it could supply other equipment considered less sensitive.
  • Russia signed a deal with Huawei on 5G technology during a visit to the country in June by the Chinese President.

2. Asia

  • South Korea launched commercial 5G service last month, and one of its three carries had used 5G equipment supplied by Huawei.
  • India may limit Huawei's involvement in developing its 5G infrastructure.
  • Malaysia has already made clear that Huawei can be involved in developing its 5G infrastructure.
  • In Indonesia, the country's telecom minister said earlier this year that it could not afford to be "paranoid" over using Huawei Technology.
  • In Thailand, Huawei has already launched a 5G test project.
  • Vietnam, which is developing a 5G network, has not officially banned Huawei, although one of the largest telecom carries is currently using Ericsson Technology.
  • Japan has blocked the use of Huawei equipment for 5G over security fears, although fears, although as in other countries, Huawei kit is part of the existing 4G network.
  • The Company says it already has 10 confirmed 5G contracts in the Middle East.

3.Africa

  • South Africa, for example, Huawei has already announced its involvement in a commercial 5G network in Johannesburg with the mobile data provider, Rain.
According to one industry-wide body, there were more than 200 operators in 85 countries investing in 5G networks in some form or another by March this Year.
